Our Story Timeline
A Love for Red Ginger That Started It All
2000s – 2020
Long before Nusarich was founded, our story began with a simple daily ritual: drinking red ginger.
For more than two decades, our founder made red ginger part of his everyday life, developing a deep appreciation for its distinctive character and its role in supporting everyday wellness. What started as a personal habit gradually became a belief — that Indonesia’s natural ingredients have the potential to bring meaningful wellness to more people.
That belief became the foundation of a journey that would eventually grow into Nusarich.
Continuing a Legacy, Creating a New Beginning
2009 – 2021
In 2021, a meaningful connection opened the next chapter of our story.
Through a personal acquaintance, our founder met the owner of Cangkir Mas, an established Indonesian red ginger beverage brand founded in 2009. At the time, its founder was preparing for retirement and looking for someone who could carry the business forward with the same passion and belief in red ginger.
Sharing the same vision of bringing the goodness of red ginger to more people, our founder established PT. Cahaya Utama Alam Nusarich.
The transition was more than simply taking over a business. Nusarich welcomed the experienced employees and R&D team from Cangkir Mas, while its former owner continued to contribute as Nusarich’s Factory Director.
A legacy continued. A new journey began.

Today, Nusarich works closely with more than 1,500 Indonesian red ginger farmers, building long-term relationships to source carefully selected, high-quality ingredients while preserving the natural character of Indonesian red ginger.
Our commitment goes beyond sourcing.
Through a Fair Price system, we aim to create a more meaningful partnership with farming communities — helping farmers gain greater value from their harvest while supporting more sustainable livelihoods.

Our Journey
Semua berawal dari kebiasaan Pendiri Cahaya Utama Alam Nusarich (NUSARICH) yang rutin meminum jahe merah selama lebih dari 20 tahun. Percaya akan manfaat jahe merah sebagai sumber menjaga kesehatan melalui pengalaman pribadinya, Ia memulai kisah cintanya dengan jahe.
Pada tahun 2021, melalui seorang kenalan, sang pendiri bertemu dengan pemilik Cangkir Mas, merek minuman bubuk jahe merah ternama di Indonesia yang berdiri semenjak tahun 2009. Kebetulan pada saat itu, pemilik dari Cangkir Mas sedang memutuskan untuk pensiun dan mencari orang yang cocok untuk meneruskan usahanya. Berbagi keyakinan yang sama akan manfaat jahe merah bagi kesehatan tubuh dan semangat yang sama ingin membawa manfaat jahe merah kepada lebih banyak orang di seluruh dunia, sang pendiri akhirnya memulai NUSARICH, dengan mempekerjakan seluruh karyawan dan tim R&D yang sebelumnya bekerja untuk perusahaan Cangkir Mas, dengan pemilik Cangkir Mas sebelumnya bertindak sebagai Direktur Pabrik di NUSARICH.
Didukung oleh tim yang memiliki pemahaman mendalam tentang karakteristik jahe merah dan cara mengelolanya untuk menghasilkan rempah terbaik melalui pengalaman mereka selama bertahun-tahun, PT. Cahaya Utama Alam Nusarich (NUSARICH) terus bekerja sama dengan lebih dari 1.500 petani jahe merah Indonesia untuk mendapatkan manfaat dari jahe merah kualitas terbaik. Bersama para petani, kami tidak hanya menjaga keaslian dan kemurnian produk, kami juga mendukung dan meningkatkan kesejahteraan petani jahe merah, membantu mereka melalui sistem Fair Price dalam membeli bahan baku.
It all began with the habit of the Founder of Cahaya Utama Alam Nusarich (NUSARICH), who regularly consumed red ginger for over 20 years. Believing in the benefits of red ginger as a source of maintaining health through personal experience, he started his love story with ginger.
In 2021, through an acquaintance, the founder met the owner of Cangkir Mas, a well-known brand of red ginger powder drink in Indonesia established since 2009. Coincidentally, at that time, the owner of Cangkir Mas was considering retirement and seeking someone suitable to continue his business. Sharing the same belief in the benefits of red ginger for body health and the same enthusiasm to bring the benefits of red ginger to more people worldwide, the founder finally started NUSARICH, employing all the employees and R&D team who previously worked for the Cangkir Mas company, with the former owner of Cangkir Mas acting as the Factory Director at NUSARICH.
Supported by a team with a deep understanding of the characteristics of red ginger and how to manage it to produce the best spices through their years of experience, PT. Cahaya Utama Alam Nusarich (NUSARICH) continues to collaborate with over 1,500 Indonesian red ginger farmers to reap the benefits of the finest quality red ginger. Together with the farmers, we not only preserve the authenticity and purity of the product, but we also support and enhance the well-being of red ginger farmers, assisting them through a Fair Price system in purchasing raw materials.

Indonesia, negara yang disebut sebagai Negeri Rempah-rempah, menanam 3 jenis jahe:
- Jahe Merah
- Jahe Emprit
- Jahe Gajah
Diantara 3 macam jahe, jahe merah adalah yang paling unggul. Warnanya merah, rasanya lebih pedas, dan masyarakat percaya bahwa jahe merah memiliki khasiat dua kali lipat lebih baik bagi tubuh dibandingkan jahe pada umumnya.
Jahe merah hanya dapat tumbuh pada daerah tertentu yang mempunyai tanah subur dengan daerah dataran tinggi dan udara lembab. Berbeda dengan jahe varian lain yang bisa ditanam di pekarangan rumah sendiri, jahe merah memerlukan perawatan khusus agar bisa tumbuh dengan kualitas yang baik.
